I gave a big name american theatre director a loan of a bike a few years ago for the period I was working with him. I reckoned he'd be OK as he was originally from Marin County.

The end result being him flying over the bars in the middle of Edinburgh traffic and being narrowly missed by a bus.

Hah, that would bug the hell out of me, i don't think i'd ever get used to it!
