Good Evening
I was initially wanting to add another MTB in true temper tubing but shipping from the USA alongwith customs duties and taxes killed that project. I was also thinking about a Waterford in Reynolds but again shipping from the USA alongwith customs duties and taxes killed that project. So I had one of my favorite ebay sellers had nice Vivid Yellow new old stock Pinarello Stelvio but I already have one, the other bike that caught my interest was the Fausto Coppi K14 because I never had a first generation Altec and because of it is rare carbon fork. I was also hesitating wit h a Grandis Overmax but I already have on as a project , so my choice went with the Coppi K14 because Altec tubing or 5086 aluminium was the tubing on which Laurent Brochard and Luc Leblanc won their world championship titles. I also like aluminium bikes, I already have an Altec 2, a Dedacciai SC 6110, a Dedacciai 7003 ABT ,Trek 2300 SLR and a CAAD4. Finish of the welds is above many other brands too bad that the welds on the bottom bracket weren't polished but still a very high craftsmanship. The dimensions of the frame were a perfect match for me:
Top tube: 55 cm c.to.c
Seat tube: 55 cm - c.to.t / 58 cm - c.top
Head tube: 146mm
Spacing: 100 - 130
Threading: Italian
Seatpost size: 27.2
Wheels are going to be Mavic Cosmic Carbone SSC or Zipp 60
Crankset will be fsa Carbon or Dura Ace 7800
Stem and bar will be 3T Mutant
Headsead will be Cane Creek
Seatpost will be Easton or Look Carbon
Transmisson and braking will be Dura Ace 7800 like on the others road bike projects
Tires will be conti gp4 seasons 700*25
Pedals will be look delta
Here are the photos of the frame
