My "new" bike

Initially the handling threw me off a bit. I've had a few homemade drop bar old school mtbs, but this thing is different. Super low BB, and quick steering. After an hour or two on it, I'd almost describe it as a 26" knobby tire'd road bike. The position in the drops (those Specialized BB-1s are fairly deep and reach-y) is eerily similar to my Ridley X-Fire (I'm 175cm, the bike is a 17").

just realized I didn't post my everyday monster here.
This is a drop bar specific frame so not so frankenbike as others, but some custom and homemade touches.

That is one of the sickest bikes I've ever seen on here. Properly cool.
Single speed, big fat tyres. The mudguards are set up almost perfectly as well. What are they?

I am currently working on a Nishiki Altus conversion, it will eventually have schwalbe slicks and drops and will be for road use only. Before and after pics will follow.

For me?
If so, they're Gilles Berthoud stainless steel with custom/homemade fixture gubbins in stainless and brass..

and part way through conversion, amber wall schwalbe road tyres, drops wrapped in white bar tape, waiting for new white charge spoon saddle and spd pedals

Was previously running this with 700c x 35 but gone back to 26 and guards for winter, sorry it's modern!
