Ended up watching "walking with beasts" last night -BBC3 . Narrated by Sir David and the touching story of the last of the Sabre tooth tigers and the travails of Half Tooth in keeping his pack.

After dinner, getting the kids booted to bed, making tea etc. . .we watched the first episode of season 3 of True Blood. . .

then Wife went to bed, the telly whittered away to itself and I surfed the interweb until Deaths' Brother called me, once again, to the sofa.

^ GF has been watching that, then sat down and watched the entire season 1 yesterday haha... been exam week for me, and then NBA finals... plenty to stay away from WC

Personally, am ambivalent to the whole thing.

It does seem to take over - but then can make the roads very quiet for notable periods, so maybe not all bad.

I don't wish the England team bad, and I'm sure my lad would, too, even if he doesn't fully understand it all.

Saw some of the last game (last few minutes, truth be told) - it was on in the house, and you can only fight the inevitable for so long... They didn't look to be playing with any inspiration, but for the life of me I can't understand England fans, actually at the match in SA, boo-ing England, afterwards.

Dissappointment is one thing, but actually boo-ing them for a draw? Don't get it. But then I don't really get a lot about football...

Me too. I thought it would be nice to remind everyone on here how annoying the World Cup is. When it's the first story on the news for a whole month then you know the world has gone wrong somewhere.... Have BP finished with the oil spill yet? Because I don't know :roll:

you can switch the tv off you know
theres a little button on the top of the remot labled POWER if you
press it whilst standing near the idiot lantern it will switch off

i know i tried it a while ago , someone always switches it back on tho
