How far were the birds and did you crop ?
No cropping on any of them. Bird distance is around 6mtr and the Fern is 1.5<2mtr away. Just sat outside after feeding the Starlings some mealworms. They pester for more all day long.
 
Moby pics from earlier this morning. This young male is a new visitor and was involved in a scuffle not long before this visit. Second pic shows blood matted fur on his left side. Around this time of year, after the new Kits start to leave the Drey. Last year's lot are encouraged to find new territories, which comes with some risk when entering. He was very hungry and quite happy to sit and eat near where I was sitting.

Are my images showing at low resolution? I've had people comment that some of my content is blurry. On the phone, 1.4 megs of storage, when uploading, 600 kB file size. Is there a setting I'm not aware of for better photo attachment quality?
