@tintin40 I've been trying to get a picture of a spider that has set up shop in my yard, the thing is a beast, almost 2" tip to tip, but it's crafty as well. Every time I get a lens close to it, it scurries for cover. Best I've gotten so far, only good thing is the effect of the web on the fence in the background

looks like a female garden spider. Not fully grown. Can grow big and colourful. At a previous dept I worked we would be given them because people thought they were foreign. LOL I have a couple in the cave planning on making a family LOL Good luck to him. Think you may need a zoom lens to catch a good picture of her?

try setting the camera on multiple picture speed? Then maybe one will be focus

I have that trouble with my phone camera, plenty of blurred spiders/plants etc and clear backgrounds. I found moving the camera further away as opposed to nearer focused it on the foreground instead of the background. Like @tintin40 says, just take loads and experiment.

This is a very clever picture. But that’s the mud not the stars..

It is very clever. The space station looking thing is a bit like my very lucky pic i took with my iphone. Zoom in on the white stripe.
