@tintin40 I've been trying to get a picture of a spider that has set up shop in my yard, the thing is a beast, almost 2" tip to tip, but it's crafty as well. Every time I get a lens close to it, it scurries for cover. Best I've gotten so far, only good thing is the effect of the web on the fence in the background IMG_20230901_123303707.jpg

looks like a female garden spider. Not fully grown. Can grow big and colourful. At a previous dept I worked we would be given them because people thought they were foreign. LOL I have a couple in the cave planning on making a family LOL Good luck to him. Think you may need a zoom lens to catch a good picture of her? P1040133.jpeg

Can't make it focus on the large object in the center of the viewfinder no matter what I try.

try setting the camera on multiple picture speed? Then maybe one will be focus
