The retro effect on the bike scene

Just as free as you should be to voice your opinion, so should I - so wind your neck in, and valet park your high-horse, slick.

Opinion expressed in a manner true to the "ηθος" of Retrobike? :?
I hope not ......

I didn't say that - you keep trying to assert this strawman of speaking on behalf of the group.

Is that conflation deliberate, or just lack of comprehension?

Just because I say that the ethos of retrobike is about the preference of bikes, designs and parts of yesteryear (which I suspect is of almost axiom status), you try and bang on about me speaking on behalf of people, or expressing my opinion in a manner "true to" the place.

Previously I was of the view never ascribe to malice... but you keep restating this incorrect assertion makes me think there's more to it. Is that the argument you'd like to make, than is really there?

i think a couple of these may be in order ;)

What I was actually saying Neil was that I doubted that the way you expressed yourself with your "wind your neck in" suggestion was in the true spirit of this forum.
You seem to have misinterpreted this somehow.
However, what seems to have become very personal and acrimonious exchange is getting more than a little OT now (not to mention OTT).

I suggest that we both just shut the f*ck up, and leave it at that.

I said that in response to you telling me I was trying to speak on behalf of the group, or trying to tell you what you could, or couldn't discuss.

I wasn't doing either, so personally, I think it was fair comment.

No I didn't.

I simply reject everything I say as being representative - or inferred as - of the ethos of retrobike.

I'm sorry but it's not true until you use capital letters

FACT

oh sorry, so are you the spokesman for capital letters now?

Capitals weigh more on my LCD and may damage it long term, thats why I'm a retro lower case type of guy.

fact.

Hmmm, so why not say "liquid crystal display" screen instead, i smell cows poo.

because the combined weight of ''liquid crystal display'' clearly weighs more than the efficient and economic use of 'LCD'....

I thought it was obvious.
