The RB what I bought/ found/scrounged this week thread pt.II

Nice find on the proflex, especially with the girvin fork. So many remove that and have left dozens of proflexes just looking not right :? The inevitable blue and lemon wheels  I'd a pair this colour scheme and ive seen others. I stripped mine, im still not sure the colours go well together

On my own side i have yet another wee bit of hope, and Hopefully an inspiration to others looking for C2's and thinking only tat is available on ebay.
This stems from more help offered to someone servicing a pair, which sound a bit used tbh.
Seller accepted £20, so worth it i feel, especially given the condition it turned p in(levers not bad either)

This is for my clock(yup, still not finished) a very nice No6 C2, for boxxer, to replace the nos mini m4 No6.
I felt the C2's were the best caliper, as the object of the clock was to show off the myriad of different fittings on the burgeoning sport of mountainbiking. The mini m4 was later, but i felt the C2 better placed.

This is of course how i justify myself after I've bought something.

We all seem to be reviving this thread a bit but anyway....

Got chatting to a customer that came in the hardware shop today said he'd been on a ride, we got chatting and then went on to explain used to be a semi pro racer, raced for mongoose on some titanium and steel frame combo with straight forks a disc on the back and weird cranks on a strange bottom bracket.... After questioning whether or not he still had it he explain that he left mongoose so they kept the bike and he went to race for an importer that did control tech stuff.

He popped in that afternoon and said he'd been thinking that maybe I might want some bits that he doesn't use anymore, naturally I said yes please!

Yesterday he dropped off what he could reach in the garage... Including one of his old race bikes he'd converted to gravel.

When I saw the haul I offered him some cash💰 he insisted I just have them! Needless to say I am very pleased and very grateful.
