Took a punt on a local bike for a tenner. 92ish Dawes Wildcat, thought I'd get some 300LX components for a donor. Collected this rather sorry specimen.

Cleaned it, pumped the tyres up. One beautiful running/riding bike.

No no, people donate to the shop, I scavenge through the bins and purchase. But a lot of stuff gets tossed and recycled by them, and then free to me

And a very nice clean up too Its from a golden age. Bikes were unashamedly bikes. not the pretentiousness of today.
