The RB what I bought/ found/scrounged this week thread pt.II

A mate owns a bike shop in the states, he took in a voodoo in return for some work and asked if I wanted the parts as he knows I'm into my retro stuff and so sent me it. I've got to find a frame to do it justice now.

Re:

I love free/scavenged shit. I pulled a pair of brand new Tiogas 1.9 out of the recycle bin and just checked, they fit in the ubrake of the Toad! Now i can get rid of the tom slick tires on it and be in good shape for the next show n shine

Re:

I found a late 80's made in Canada Devinci aluminum mountain bike. They were in the process of stripping the parts and recycling it...I bolted as much as I could back together.

I can't find much in Google about this Douglas by Devinci

Totally! I'm trying to find a bit of info on it. I'm guessing the brand is Douglas and is made by Devinci. I've never seen a stem with water bottle mounts either. I'm going to throw some tires on it today and take some pics and ask around

I remember the ski/bike shop in Barrie selling them, along with Reflex. That would have been 91-92. IIRC it was someone out of Toronto that contracted them. Still see them around locally occasionally and on Kijiji.

Yes really lucky to have been right place at the right time again!

Thanks Stu. I've never heard of them and not much of an alum guy but no doubt is a welcomed addition to my Canadian barn! I'd love to get more eastern bikes but not many made it out here in the west and is a bit difficult

Re:
