Sneak preview time. The MIPA 2K is on and has had a few weeks to go off. A couple of flies lost their legs and wings but I expected at least one bug to stupidly land on it!
The cranks and pedal cages are off getting powder coated white. Once the headset has been fitted and the cranks/ pedals returned to me I can finish it off. It's coming together as I imagined it - I was a big fan of the lavender and neon colours on BMXs BITD. The seat needs to come down to my height but only want to do it once rather than set it too low, scratch it, then have to bring it up again.

Look away now if you are easily offended!

Other than changing the chainring to a slightly larger one, it's done! Even with a half-link chain the tension's not quite right - the 46T 'ring is too high so hopefully a 50T will aid progress on the road and hit a sweet spot with chain tension.

The Stronglight headset is wonderfully made - a real 'hewn' feel about it. Top quality.

Yes, they're XTR cranks! They only cost me a fiver and were quite rough but the powder coating has covered most of their sins.

Thanks to @scant for the toeclips. All the fluoro is truly fluoro!

It was always going to be 'Marmite' and a bit of fun! This summer it'll have some tan-wall proper MTB tyres - I think it'll look a bit better in the wheel department. I'll then see if the Mrs' phone will capture the colours any better. Rad!
