Shown as a SS setup. Original owner. Still have all the original components in a 6-7 condition (scale of 10 being the highest). No dents or rust but the bearings on the hubs need rebuilding - currently have another set of wheels on the bike. Just my seldom used neighborhood cruiser now that I spend more time on my roadie, fixie and 29'er.
My friend has this bike gathering dust in his shed for a while now. It's a KHS Montana Comp with all the original parts - LX groupset (with XT rear mech), Bontranger C20 saddle, Zoom handlerbars, Panaracer Smoke II tyres, Versa C5 canilever brakes.
The most action it's seen in the past 5 years is a trip to Centre Parcs.
It was purchased in the mid to late 90s (about 96,97 or 98ish) It's in generally good condition - a couple of nicks on the saddle, a bit of wear on the tyres etc.
1pr Marzocchi RAC forks - carbon upside down, 20mm etc., 1.125in steerer
1pr on-one Ti 400mm rigid forks, 1.125in steerer.
Set of 5arm Goldtec Ti Nitride chainrings
Set of Blackspire 5 arm chainrings
1 "original" XTR front mech - 31.7mm (I think).
1 set of XTR brake/shifters with remote thingies.
I recently returned from Easter with my girlfriend and we spent some time at her grandmother's.
I am trying to build my girlfriend a bike for the summer so we can go on some rides together. On hearing this her grandmother suggested she try her grandfather's old bicycle. Unfortunately it is far to big for her.
So now I have an old Rudge bicycle to sell and hopefully make some money towards a bike for my girlfriend. Phew. Now that that's over what is this Rudge worth? And where would the best place to sell it be?
