The *NOT BORING!* Hi-Fi faff chat and sales

Re: The *NOT BORING!* Hi-Fi faff and sales thread

A big thumbs up for Massive Attack, also anything else touched by the Bristol Massive. Bjork, Sigur Ross, Portishead. For more old skool sounds, Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd works for me. For the current cutting edge of current production, Bonobo and Amon Tobin get my vote.
It's also worth comparing CD against compressed formats, there is a difference but you need a good system, undamaged ears and good environment to appreciate it. Oh and vinyl can sound really good too, but you need to be so anal about dust, etc.

I've not long had microsuction on my ears so everything sounds harsh at the mo. Couldn't believe how bunged up they were. Can't wait to give the hifi a go.

Must have a go of that. My ears have been bunged since manflu a while back, but haven't been at their best for a while. What does it involve?

A microscope and a tiny hoover for the ears, better than syringing (for me anyway).

Very loud but amazing when done.

I just got a new telly (thank you ppi) and am playing with the NFC function. Damn fun! RB beamed to the big screen. :)
