Evening fellow cyclists :D Sorry don't have a bike yet. Thinking about it and have seen what's new and now looking at what was new back when i was very young.

Hi just like to say hello and show u my saracen kili pro 93

And can anyone tell me were to get some origernal forks or alternative forks for my saracen kili pro 93 bike.

Me new....

...and a bit dull in the head today. Sorry, at work.

Newbie intro posted here:http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=120004#120004 sort of.

G'day,
came across the site and thought I might be able to glean some info here and there, and its good to see others with a soft spot for older rigs.

My name is Mark, I live in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia.
I currently have two bikes; a nice MTN-X specced 2007 Giant STP0 which I'm sure is of little interest to anyone here, and my 1994ish Shogun Prairie Breaker which I have owned since about 1996 which may be of more interest...

Newbie Saying Hello....

Been a registered user for a while now, it's taken me this long to get my pictures in order!!!
I'm not a born again rider, i just haven't stopped. Had more bikes than i can remember, in all the colours of the rainbow. Nothing spectacular though, just the usual run of the mill stuff.
Hopefully i will be adding to my pictures as builds progress and more bikes come along, or maybe i will have to start a build thread on the RTS.
Well, hello everyone...... :D

Please have a look at my album for most of my bikes, with basic descriptions!!

Welcome. 'apollo' 1 cars 0

Hello all :D , spent hours lurking on here the last couple of days, it like an aladins cave, so many nice old bikes. Found out about the site on E-bay when it was mentioned in an add for a Klein Adroit frame.

I've had a mountain bike of some kind since the early 90's when i bought a Raleigh Dakota, only had that a few months when i started buying bike magazines i fell in love with the Proflex and soon bought a red 752 though due to bad advice it was a size too big for me at 18" (i'm 5'7") but i still loved it and rode it a few years before getting a 16" GT Zaskar LE frame in purple, managed to trade in the Pro Flex frame against it as that was still pretty mint, built the Zaskar up using most of the bits from the Pro Flex.

Had the Zaskar for a while but eventually fancied another full suspension bike, done a deal with a mate for a Trek 9500 suspension track frame (a swap for a Snap-On tool box  ), that was fine for a while until the rear trailing arm fell apart. :(

About this time (roughly 8 years ago) i noticed an add in the paper for a GT LTS for £600, the LTS was one of the the bikes i'd lusted after when i had my Zaskar but at that time £1400 just for the frame was out of reach so i went to see the LTS anyway, turned out to be a 16" LTS DH with Marzocchi Bomber B1's, Hope hubs, Hope C2 discs and a very trick Answer Rocker seat post, it was a dream come true and it's the bike i still have today.
I fitted a Flite saddle to it a while ago but it's gained other non Retro parts like FSA cranks and Halo Combat rims but the bike will be getting a rebuild soon so due to finding this site i'll be changing these bits to more period items.

Also i recently bought a 91-92 17" Orange Clockwork frame off E-bay and a pair of nice wheels with White industries hubs and Mavic 121 rims, did intend to build it as a single speed with Magura rim brakes but this has now changed to full gears and cantis.
I bought a budget fork and stem for it though as this was all i could find on E-bay for the 1" front end but i'll be looking for a set of Pace forks for it as soon as i have the funds and will be keeping the rest of it Retro

Looking forward to joining in on what look's like a fun and very usefull site ;)
