The one you see on my OD in the previous pic is CF tube. Straight is much easier to build! Did you machine the slate? What with?

The AV processor you can see is a prototype, possibly the last one still in use, 20 years old this year! It communicates with amplifier (one of the very last 7 channel models) via its built in Siemens micro-controller (an expensive item when it was sourced). Its quite happy with the standard DTS/ DD 5.1 feed from a blu-ray player.
