Thought i might give you an update as to the state of play in the grand clear out / up.
Well, the bench is now pretty bare, down to a few last items to move onto new homes.
The cupboard is fantastic, neat, clean, tidy, labelled, boxed.....
Ive recently shifted some more of my old old pre 89 kit...much came from a shop close down in 91.....that was hard! They made the cut 2 years ago, but this time i just had to be realistic as to if im going to really really use them.
I suppose the acid test was " do i want a bike with these parts on". Can i envisage me riding a "bitza" based on "whatever" frame with this type of set up.......No was the realistic answer.....so " why keep the parts" is the logical conclusion.
Oddly building the saracen conquest.... (in this months botm competition btw..cough cough).....really helped, we put a lot into it and it represents not only a great example, but very much scratches the itch for something prehistoric!

Even less reason to hang onto those parts now......So they are gone.....
Im not anti sentiment nor the attachment to " things" but as some point you have to cut the cord......before it strangles you!
