For Sale The END! We have stopped! Silicone Springs - elastomers for Manitou/RockShox/Proflex

Re: Manitou XVert?

Hi there, need a set of elastomers for my 1998-ish Manitou XVert R triple clamps. Manual seems to say there are 6. 3x red main compression elastomers, 2x orange and 1x “black” (swap for a red) second stage elastomers and another orange third stage in the oil-filled leg.

The hole diameter looks bigger though. Can they be drilled or am I barking up the wrong tree altogether?

Do have some M1s but they are just garage art now!

Re:

Never tried, but I would say they are super hard to drill if at all. They are like rubber, so if you ever tried to drill rubber you know how this would react.

I've tried drilling and RVA's spot on - its an impossible task, they simply stretch and the drill bit can't bite, all you get is a bit of friction building up at best
:(
