Replace with the Pipe Wrench.
We have one a metre long, it has removed many an obscure fitting bottom bracket cup, where the vice has let go

You can also add a cheater bar like a scaffold pole for that extra leverage

Who needs a scaffold pole when you can get the park tool for about £100
One of the park tools I actually like though - it bends frames easier than a scaffold pole... although we've got one of those too if you want 2m+ leverage.
Slips over the end nicely
