Seeing the Lenton Grand Prix makes me think that my first 'proper' bike might have been one. It was (I think? It was a l o n g time ago!) a Silver Grey with Yellow contrasts. I bought it from a local clubmate and rode fixed wheel on it until the rear dropout cracked and my LBS sensibly recommended something better. I ended up with a Viking Gran Sport. The cracked frame was 'passed on' to another young clubmate who rode it to work (again on fixed) for sometime until early one morning, there was a knock on the door, and there he stood with a wheel in one hand and the rest of the bike in the other. It had finally given out on him while going down a nearby hill, thankfully not steep! I must have loaned him a bike so he could get to work that day.
