I am feeling what you said.
Lots of interesting posts on this thread. There is a lot of poignance.
When you associate music with visuals it really hits home, especially back in the day before songs were associated with associated videos.
Lots of emotions involved for me when I hear some of these sounds.
Really identifies me with these things.
I enjoy feeling other peoples vibe this way, music is my pathway socially.
References to kids' shows as well as "grown up" telly gradually creeping in here; for those of you of a certain age wanting to re-live past memories I can heartily recommend "The Encyclopaedia of Cult Children's TV" by Richard Lewis. My sister bought me a copy a few years ago; one of those books designed for dipping into but difficult to put down once you pick it up (reading it is more often than not accompanied by the thought "oh yeah....I remember that show!")! The author also has a good style, a bone-dry sense of humour and an aversion to Keith Harris & Orville. Can't go wrong, really.
