the best and worst names

anything that is a number rather than a name doesn't do it for me as over the years things get boring...... trek hold your head in shame!

i like the simple, slightly quirky ones. i've always thought clockwork (although obvious) was a good choice of name for orange

d.o.g.s.b.o.l.x still makes me chuckle but the others don't work as well (and seem like they were trying too hard to come up with something witty)

I also quite like marins naming method with the famous trails around the area lending their names to the frames, not for the names themselves but because of the sentiment behind it.

I always liked Rockhopper and Stumpjumper, never owned either but the names fit the purpose.

Stumpjumper just doesn't work for me as the name just reminds me of the stump-jump plough.

And a bike shouldn't ride like a plough...

Marin always had good names. Then again Marin County had some great trails to take a name from.

I'm thinking if Marin were based in Manchester they would have names like the.....

Chorlton water park, Mersey banks, Benchill and the Withington.

al. :(
