From December 1989 through January 1990 the Braunstein-Quay Gallery in San Francisco sponsored an exhibit called "The Art of the Mountain Bike." Prominent California mountain bike frame builders were invited to create one of a kind mountain bikes which were put on display. The builders were Joe Breeze, Paul Brown, Charlie Cunningham, Otis Guy, Jeff Lindsay, Ed Litton, Bernie Mikkelsen, Craig Mitchell, Scot Nicol, Steve Potts, Jeffrey Richman, and Tom Ritchey.
As part of the project each bike was exquisitely and expensively photographed and cards were printed with the builder's information and comments on the back. (Bernie Mikkelsen was a late entry and did not have his bike photographed.)
I recently ran across a mint set of these cards in my files, and I have scanned them for a page on my website. It's a pretty fat page, about 3MB, so if you are not on a highspeed connection I hope you have a good book.
