Rumpfy was just testing the waters with that Ebay listing but I think he would trade it for a Cunningham in a heartbeat

A most deep and humble thank you to Mike, Kai, Ken, and anyone who has tipped a nod towards the Tomac.

I suppose I could hype the bike, but Mike and James have pinned its significance nicely.

I'd be happy to back fill any of the story on it, but I don't want to drone.

I spent the better part of 6 years tracking down all the parts for it. I started collecting parts before I had even found the frame actually. From concept to completion I was clear with what I wanted the end result to be.

I doesn't have the loud flash of the Yo Eddy, the amazing paint work of the Klein or Mountain Goat or even the understated class of the Merlin.
But in terms of overall significance, rarity, wow factor, and dare I say attention to detail...I gotta think its up there.

As to the eBay run. Yes, I put it up on eBay as a gauge for its worth and a bit of morbid curiosity. It did not sell...I will say now that the reserve was $10,000 USD. Very unrealistic. Very unlikely that it will go to the auction block again. I didn't and don't want to sell it.

John, and Mod's...I don't want to be tacky and post a link to more pictures...but I can (if its ok with you) in case anyone wants to inspect it closer to earn their vote. :)

Again, thanks all for your thoughts and input.

Go for it Eric, links are fine.

We limit the photos just to keep the thread manageable..

BTW - Very glad you're keeping it, not sure anyone else would really appreciate it as much as you do...

After some tough moment:

Melvin's Serotta!!

Plain and beatifull simple.

No Kleins for me this time.... :)

""different strokes for different folks" is as true here as it ever was. Some bikes in the line up don't do it for me at all and some do.

Slim's Yeti for me, clean build ready to hit the trail NOW. No black trim or parts and and with a splash of blue anodising details, very sweet!

Enjoy!!

For me the 3 best are: 1º YO EDDY 2º adroit gator if it snt SS I like i more 3º Newsboy.

How many for a Tomac´s slips? ;)

Hard to make a choice and comparison : all the bike shown are so different !
Suspension bike : the Boulder

Mythic Bike : the Yeti (The Tomac is fine too but Tomac has begun with yeti. So…)
The older bike : the 1986 cannondale because it's mine . But I love the picture of John's Overbury
Aluminum bike : the Brusque 's Klein, because I'm the photographer :LOL::LOL:
Steel bike : Hard to choice between the Jez's Salsa and the Carsten's Mountain Goat. I think, I prefer the last : older
Titanium bike : Carsten's Merlin

Not easy but had to go with Kev's Roberts as I've had a go on it and seen Kev stack it in a pool of mud with awesome style and little consideration for the bikes dignity.

Honourable mentions to Melvin's Serotta, Carsten's Merlin, John's Overburys and Jez' Salsa
