I had to re-read that date, 2022
Anyway, postponed for the last two years and even this year was under threat due to the economies of driving long distances just for a bicycle ride.
A subdued affair this year until two Norwich lads turned up with hair, hats and old bicycles @sam_white , one missing a seatpost - Luckily the once universal size of 27.2 meant that there was one spare. The always jolly @BerthaPog and his bright yellow Ku, the @danson67 with technically technical AMP and Siish on his Team Raleigh
The garden soon became the hotbed of bicycle ogling, tea drinking and bacon sarnie noshing.
Bikes on display for all to see with even the road bikes gaining attention, the Ross-not-Ross getting a lot of oohs and ahhhs
Then a WTB Phoenix turned up pulling an @iveto1983 along with it... The insurance cover for the garden almost tripling as we gawp at the roller cams and hubs
Anyway, just the one bike build as the Team Raleigh of @Siish gets a quick attack of the tools just to make sure no re-enactments of previous rides take place (certain important parts falling off or even the rider coming loose, thus christening local junctions forever as 'keith's corner'}
The weather had dried the tracks to dust so it was squishy yet bump with cracks that @REKIBorter will remember well
A scorched Cambridgeshire landscape greeted us with dust, dust and more dust
anyway, more later
