The 1st record you genuinely bought?

First album

Back to Back - Status Quo 1983. Bought with a WH Smith gift voucher I got for Christmas. It was also a cassette!

First single

I have a horrible feeling it was The frog Chorus by Macca.... Oh the shame.

7" single - Duran Duran - Girls on Film
LP - Iron Maiden - Number of The Beast
CD - David Lee Roth - Eat 'Em And Smile

Had shawaddywaddy albums  but I think it was Nellie the elephant by the toy dolls and album would have been a Madness one.
When asked I say either Nellie or Eye of the Tiger, but I think Nellie is first.

New Model Army-No Rest For The Wicked. Still got it, still play it :D

Top chap!

My missus still has her cloggs and a couple of painted leather jackets.

I still have a dint in my shin from a NMA gig back in the day. I loved watching the Army and still play their stuff now. :D

I go back a bit further than most

My first 7" was A message to you Rudy, The Specials.

Men at work - Business as usual......still like this
7" either Bob Marley - No woman no cry or The Specials - Ghost town.........I forget which.

7" Chaka Khan-I Feel for you
12" The Peel Sessions-The Smiths EP
CD-N.W.A Straight Outta Compton

It's a strange selection i know, but it's no different now i listen to all sorts.

Can't remember the first LP must have been really bad,and i've blocked it from memory! ;)
