Thanks, eh.

Old School Hero
I'm not typically one to conform, but in the spirit of giving I'd like to give out lots of thanks to all of the folks who,

1. administer this site,
2. provide content for the site, and
3. help all of the other folks with advice, parts and critiques for their bike projects.

No one can do this site all alone. It's not often anyone can claim to have thrown together a retro bike project all alone either. And just poking around this site a little there's evidence everywhere that there's lots of people helping others create some really nice stuff.

Thanks everybody.

+1!

I love the fact that we have so many experts who patiently provide advice, sometimes the same advice, over and over and over again. It's easy to forget that the newbies will always ask the same questions as they are the common problems.....and the search function doesn't always bring up what you want if you're not sure what you're looking for.

Good example are anthony (is his real name Mr Kona??) fluffychicken (riding encyclopedia), rekiborter (Mr Parkpre) rockimtn (errr obvious!) and many many many others. :D :D :D

Added to that we have such a wide range of people who sometimes build for perfection and collection, or riding and a good hiding, or just to keep around bikes in spite of everything else (wadsy a good example of the last one).

Ok some people aren't perfect, but by and large we get on.... and whatever the bike that's being built/restored/ridden/rescued there will always be someone who has an encouraging word to say about it.......

well said. Too many forums have odd rules & harsh moderation.
This place is so easy going.

Hats off to all the regular admin, contributors & everyone that reples in threads, puts up pics & talks retro MTB.

site

I stumbled upon this site by accident and it has revived my interest in mountain bikes I'm now 48 and ran a sucession of marins in the early 90s I now have a zaskar a pantera and a mint proflex855 bought from old school babe.the help and passive advicei have gained by browsing the forums has been invaluable thanks to all. Oh I have also lost a stone and a half.

Personally I think John and the mod team get it right on most occasions, the laid back style with timely reminders works and works well

Thanks team :xmas-cool:
