Recently purchased a set of the TYPE3 firm springs for what was advertised as RS Judy '97, bingo I though, no need to cut back on the cake if this solves my Judy SL sag woes for £20... Come to fit them and something certainly seems wrong... the instructions inside say for '98 yet the packaging suggests they are '97... I assumed that the springs in the pack replace the stock elastomers, again much better for longevity I thought. However the springs seem longer and also the diagram shows a central shaft to keep everything aligned with the bottom spring, yet I don't have this (I have a solid elastomer as stock).
Any of you guys shed any light on my problem? I imagine its gonna transpire that the kit I have is for '98 and that it's different and wont work with my '97 forks...
