Tech Help . . . A Pad fell out of my Caliper!

As you can see I have a set of Dice Whiplash Hydraulic Brakes - love them, they are a great bit of kit!

FYI The Brake set's were also rebranded by Armor and Diatech back in the day.

I've been riding a lot over the last few months averaging around 60 Miles per week Mix of Single Track and XC. Today I decided to give her a back end service, new M770 XT Cassette and dialled in the Rear Derailleur. On my test run I noticed a scraping sound coming from the rear and found the rear calliper had a pad missing, securing pin was still installed ?????

I have no idea how long this pad has been missing for, but as you can see the Piston which lost its pad has scores from where its been touching the disc. Disc is fine. The scoring is so bad that I don't this think the pad will sit flush on the piston.

These brakes are like rocking horse **** and spares are very hard to come bye

I'm thinking of splitting the calliper and sanding flat the Piston to remove the scored edges before fitting new pads . . . . What would you fine people recommend?

I would suggest trying new pads with anti-squeal e.g. coppergrease and see how that goes before being more drastic.
