Team Banana front forks

All,

I am looking for a replacement set of front forks for my newly acquired Raleigh Banana. The previous owner replace the damaged forks with a pair from another bike and the brakes can't quite reach now!

Paint condition unimportant as I will respray them anyway.

Snap! I have a 1986/7 Raleigh Pursuit, same frame, same size with the similar issue - original forks have damage to dropouts.

Are the replacements you have maybe designed for 27"? Could you fit a slightly longer brake caliper?

I think that I have the very fork you need, will have to get them out of storage though. The condition is roughly the same as your bike from memory. Let me try to find them for you.

Hi Gunter,
I managed to find the fork over the weekend. It's the correct model for your frame, and the paintwork is not so bad either. There's some rust on the dropouts and and musguard eyes but the rest of the blades are still in decent condition - as are the decals. You could likely get away with touch-up rather than full respray, if you wanted.

I forgot to measure the steerer (doh!) but will do so tonight and will update you later. Where are you based, for reference?
