tatty 1997 cindercone f+f 17" ebay uk

 what happend with the rear triangle, that it looks like that  beautiful ? yes, this frame was beautiful, before he used it ;)
pic. no. 3 is of great help

that's a 97 cindercone - some chips??? it looks like it's had a shotgun taken to it! Also black paint to the drive side drop out - steel work repair? Interesting retrobike sticker in pic 5 tho...

Shotgun could be the answer :) yeah, now I see it - small RB sticker, well spotted, so seller member over here or bought from a RB member

maybe the frame was subject to a drive-by shooting with a sawn off and now the rider has to sell the frameset due to injury

It's got a Retrobike sticker, what do you guys want?

I think maybe the seller described it as beautiful because it's a size 17 Kona in blue and yellow - there is something in that actually.

Some Konas around then had fragile paint, and that's what stone chips did to them. But the good news is that those hundreds of marks you can see are all white - not brown. It's the primer, still intact, so all a stable base for a good repair. With a bit of patient touching in, you wouldn't be able to see anything wrong with it. Then it really would be beautiful. I like that colour scheme.

Unscrupulous seller

I watched this frameset the last time it was sold on ebay (Item no 160759936722). So I recognised it when it came up again. 'Stan' who's selling it on, has apparently been knocked down by a bus recently and that was his reasoning as to why he'd forgotten to list the damage the first seller mentioned and has 'lied' to another buyer posing same question. Oh, and the original seller informed me that the P2's have had the steerer extended by Argos Cycles. Might be an idea to win it and then raise a complaint with ebay!?
