T-minus 7 days… (1991 Rocky Mountain Altitude)

Re: T-minus 7 days… and counting (1991 Altitude)

stem and bar swapped off the RM Titanium and installed onto the Altitude. Think I may go with Gripshift X-rays, with some yellow shift covers i found that i had forgotten about, and source some red bar grips.

Gorgeous Frank.....
So want to find a 19-20" steely Canuck frame

Looking awesome with the Syncros bits!

Super cool bike you have there.

It looks so tiny...

red grips ?

quite tempted to stick some black ridged legs in my mag crown and get it out in the mud.

it's the smallest 17" frame size offered that year, but i think it's the overly short head tube that really makes it look small, that and perhaps the fat tyres on the wheelset that's currently on the bike. headtube measures a measly 89mm. even the 17" RM Ti is 96mm. i think with the longer steerer and headset spacers, and minimizing the amount of quill insertion, i can get over the overly low saddle to cockpit drop.

the slope of the top tube isn't as pronounced as a 17" Blizzard, or Titanium. it's a much flatter.

rummaged through my box of spare srt-800 x-ray parts and i think i can pull some stuff out to put together a half decent set of shifters from the knackered stuff. and yes, i'm on the hunt for a set of red grips that'll suit the build. ;)

I actually like the yellow RF cranks, but I will admit to being a little colour blind, so maybe you don't want to listen to me that much.

Next choice would be the AC cranks - I believe they match the ATAK hubs?

Are those tires 2.4s? They look absolutely massive on that bike.
