Re: last version
Now i run a conti X-King 2,4 in the front and a 2,2 Race King in the rear, and that ist perfect. I have to acommodate to the looks (thin tubes, fat tires) but function goes first
2,25 Schwalbe Racing Ralph doesn´t work on Merlins with straight stays. I ran my ´91 with this setup, but it rubbed on the stays in cornersWsquared":3donyk2m said:danaroby00":3donyk2m said:FINAL VERSION ( maybe)

Try putting a 2.25 Schwalbe Racing Ralph on the back & a 2.25 or 2.4 on the front. Run them at 35lbs psi or less. Rolls fast, light & makes a huge difference on rougher trails.
That's what I did on my retro rigid 2004 Lightspeed Ocoee & it makes all the difference in the world.

Rigid Ti bikes with light weight, big fat tires are the way to go.
