Syncros Vs Thompson post

I have a build that's been pretty settled for a while, but while rummaging today I found a syncros post in the size my Raleigh dynatech team titanium takes.

The build is not one for the period purists, built around a full ti frame and original triple bitted steel forks, it's wearing m952 xtr 9sp, hope stem in blue with matching hope hubs and qrs, a bike controltech stem, middleburn cranks and a use ti carbon pro saddle as that's got blue logos, looks sweet and a saddle I find very comfy. The most modern part is the Thompson post in black, but I'm thinking the syncros would be more age appropriate with the rest of the non period parts.

Would you swap or stick with the Thompson? It's a 30.0.

Thompson have been making posts since the 90s, so either would work, personally I would go with the Thompson, a union jack version would look the part.

Thanks. The Thompson in situ is black, like the union jack idea but not looking to buy another list, hard enough finding a nice one in this oddball size.

Both are nice but one will look visually better with the other components (decal style or clamp form and colour etc.) - try it and please show us the results!

Ti would work, but in 30.0, not seen one. Working with what I have rather than buying more, need to finalise some builds and move on the surplus.

The Thompson looks fine on there, just thinking all the other parts are earlier, aside from the saddle. Maybe the middkeburns and hope stem, but they have a retro aesthetic. There's not a lot of silver on the bike aside from the cable guides on the frame and saddle rails. Maybe the syncros head in silver may look out of place or maybe it ties in with those bits?
