Getting to the point where actually finding one in the right size and in my budget is pretty much not going to happen, but from a cosmetic point of view, really want something that at least from a distance looks the part.

There's not much out there as far as I can see but am I missing something? What have others used?

It's the inline post with two bolt micro-adjust head. Black shaft and polished top I'm looking for (Hardcore?)

Seen a brand-x one on crc that could be made to look the part I think for £15, but happy to listen or look at other options out there I've not found.

For the original style ones, pre 1991 iirc they are easier style to find.
for the later 1992+, pre GT ones then the best I found are Kalloy, but some of their older ones used by many companies (Orange, Kona ?) but Uno too are nice and wowrk just as well.
Of course it some distance and hidden under a flite ;)

I'll have a look at one of mine that is a later GT era style iirc, there is a generic brand logo on it. That's if I can find it.

I do have a brand-X one, heavy thick beasts but work well.
I think the Thomson Elite became the new Syncros inline post

What size are you after ?

FC thanks for this, the trouble is I cannot find any of them for sale anywhere currently either.

I have found one by Origin8 in the US, can't find any of them in the UK
Brand X at Wiggle/CRC group
BBB Skyscraper?

Out of the above none have the fully polished head, some are totally painted black, but could (hopefully) be stripped and polished without too much effort.

I've seen photos of Kalloy ones but never one for sale anywhere.

[EDIT - sorry FC didn't see you asked about size, it's for a late 90's steel Sunn that takes a 26.4mm]

What size though ?

The only one I can remeber wiht the full silver head and black tube is Titec Helbent, when I last looked.

Aliexpress has loads of different inlines, with various 'kalloy' heads as I call them (only as I think Kalloy gained the patenet for the desings BiTD and used at tleast three styles iirc. But you only get these in 27.2 and standard modern sizes

Kalloy old Syncros style, meets newer micro-adjust setup head (this is actually a Kalloy post)

then moved to

and then a newer version of that too.

I have this, slightly rounder shoulders, where the bolts go through and it is stamped JD. Have found newer made versions similar so not sure if JD made them for a while, or got the patent?

That's the one, same as my 'copy'. JD
Has a nice feature of a spring clip and possibly a bolt holding all the head part in position ?

Ha, never had the top clamp off as never used it, just had a look and it does indeed have a spring clip inside :)

Excellent guys many thanks. Mk one that would do me fine if it looked like that. Do you know if these are still available to buy? I know it's not an exact replica but for me that would totally fit the bill. FC did you say the Brnd X ones were really heavy? Not so keen on that if they are, although they are 400m, so could potentially trim off some mm to trim off some gm's :)

Re:

Not sure where to get the JD one from, probably whatever sizes GT's came in at the late 90s

I'll keep an eye out but that size is not common. It's a Fat Chance size iirc so probably stuck in a lot of them ;-)

(26.4mm)
