SYNCROS Powerlite Rigid Fork - Show some love! And show us yours!

Are you sure about that? From what year is it? My information is that there were 3 titanium versions that had been built but they were scrapped because they in general were too "soft". The looks were exactly the same as the alloy / steel version.

Also the bridge on yours does not look very Syncros and the cantilever bosses are clamp-on instead of welded-on.
I must say that the black upper plugs in the fork legs on yours are shaped Syncros typical. Super odd and interesting!

Came from a ex-Syncros employee.
It was in photo-type stage. So no year.
There was a picture of it here in long time ago. It was in Rod Kirkham's man cave. I remember seeing on the ceiling with some other forks.
The stem/handle also was in the photo-type stage. A small run of those seat post were made. All I believe never made it in their catalog. Don't be the one that say not in the catalog. Not real. I use to get equipment upto 6 months before production/ catalog would come out. I still get told the different production years. Voice in the back of my says "it was race bike. Would you think it had some parts for next year's production?"
The fork parts were oem from other company's. Good call. It got me. There were other issues.
Also not mine bike. Pictures are a few years old.à
Please. Just sit back and enjoy.

With the stem/handle bar, its obvious! Very cool prototype. The fork though, could be anything! Different bridge, no welding ... Only thing that would hint to Syncros at all was the plugs. So, its very appropriate to be suspicious.

I’ve owned a set of Powerlites with that feature. It had a screw fitted there. Guess for having the crown fitted more securely.

Not sure if it was a factory feature or an aftermarket addition. It looked stock though.

Reflector mount?

Mine have this same feature, with screw, on the rear of the crown.

They also have bolts threaded into the the dropouts.

My assumption: a home hack for rack mounting.

But apparently others exist, so it may have been a factory thing.

Always thought it was weird to have mount on the rear rather than the front of the crown if that was the case tho. Not great for load-bearing.
