Swedish Crescent Gram (Sandvik TI)restoration project.

Would be interesting to know who built the Ti Crescents. In Sweden (somewhere near Bromma?), Russian Federation, USA, Far East?

Probably when you remove the paint around the BB to see the serial number properly it may provide some clues?

Going to call a friend at Cykel Europe and have him check

Nice frame. The orange colour and the shape of the frame looks like my SPEED frame of the same vintage - but its steel.

just stumpled accros the 94 Kona brochure and found this:

"...Sandvik's facility for welding bicycle frames is equally impressive. The have been making our Hei Hei and Haole titanium frames since 1990..."

I'd be inclined to agree, but I see from the flikr link the paint is already gone.
Every man and his dog did bare Ti frames. Not many painted, and I'll admit to liking painted Ti, though I may be slightly biased.

I remember the TST website gave an history blurb about their origins and you could buy some standard Ti frames
direct from them. So, untill 1997 bike manufacturing was still under the Sandvik roof.

Some common features are externally butted / machined head-tube, under top-tube cable routing.

Don't know about drop-outs etc. and difficult to say if they used Sandvik or not.

Interesting write up mentioning order from Sweden (although this could be from Magmaa rather than Crescent perhaps?).
