I have a really very nice Tom Teesdale made (serial is TET001) DEAN Jester steel frame from the mid/late 90s that I just am not going to get round to building, I do 'need' a classy mid 80s steel MTB though, something like an Overburys/Evans/Roberts/Saracen with mudguard eyelets and clearance, flat crown forks (pref) and decent tubing. A Japanese/US equivalent would work too from Bridgestone/Miyata etc. Max 54cm/21" top tube!
The DEAN is a 17" from memory and looks like this (not my photo, will pull it out of storage shortly):
I have some period Judys to go with it and will chuck in a headset too, plus plenty of other bits that can work if required.
