Ok, this is a bit of a long shot but though this forum would be the best place to try.
I bought the below GT Karakoram off Gumtree recently with the intention of using it as a hack bike / pub bike / child carrier. I wanted a steel framed mountain bike that could take a bit of abuse but wouldn't be a pig to ride. And, its really nice. Not sure what year it is - sure one of you will know - but it is in good cosmetic and working order. It has mostly XT components, thought the rear mech is LX. The previous owner had swapped the Judy fork for a no-name job, which works ok but is not anything special. The front wheel has a mechanical disc brake whereas the rear has the original vee. The seller gave me the old fork - I'm no mechanic but i think its beyond repair - which still the XT vees attached. The wheels are true, nowt special, alex rims on quando hubs.
Anyway all good but alas after a few rides I have decided its too small for me. I'm a lanky bugger at 6ft 4" and although the frame is 20" it feels a bit cramped. So I was putting it on here to see if anyone had a larger bike they might want to do a swap with? I'm looking for a steel framed, preferably rigid forked moutnain bike in good mechanical order, not too fussed about cosmetics. not fussed about brands either, though have enjoyed Konas in the past.

Realistically swap would probably need to be done in person so it either London (where I work in the week) or Essex / Suffolk area. If I have no joy I'll probably bung it up for sale.
