Wanted Suspension corrected 26" fork ~440mm A2C canti

doomf

Retro Newbie
I have an On-One cromoly fork with canti posts and disc tabs. Length is perfect but it has ZERO mounting options for anything and I want to chuck a rack and mudguard on it

I'm finding it SUPER difficult to find a fork in roughly the same dimensions, let alone one with a centre hole for mounting, or any tabs by the axle

Anyone have anything suitable?

Are you set on having rim brake wheels? If not the Surly ECR 27.5+ fork could be a good bet if you don't mind something modern.
Yeah ideally I wanna keep the V's on there if I can. The frame is a 90s Saracen, without disc mounts obviously, and the wheelset is original. I don't have any disc brakes either. I guess I could look at a suspension fork but I'm using it as a city bike so rigid feels right

Getting harder to find though it looks like!

You could get the mountings brazed on.
You only need eyelets behind the dropout to mount both a guard and rack, although once the oxy acetylene kit is out, you could festoon it with barnacles if you wanted. cheaper than a new fork.

Why not use p-clips on your existing fork. It would at least get you mudguards. Did this on a build, even used them for a rack out back and supported a kids seat. It helped to have the bosses on the rear stays for that though.

I have a crappy decathlon guard Velcro'd to the down tube so I'm not totally without. It's the rack really they I'm missing. I'd want something that can hold a slab of beers or something at least.

Could look at the braze option I guess. When I started looking for a replacement, I thought it would be easy to find!

I've seen Kona Project 2 in my search but can't find any!

440 a/c
26" canti bosses
What length steerer?

How bothered are you by looks?

We've got about 100 used forks, but as a rule not exactly what anyone wants🤣
I think that's why we still have them🤔
