Surly Moonlander

Barely used the moonlander since buying the Fargo and now adding the krampus to the fleet.

My pal loves it, so I let him rid it on the odd weekend, just to get some miles on it.

Today it was a nice spring sunny day with temps around 6-8c....but felt warmer when the sun came out......so we done a 33 mile trip around the coast and river Tyne.

12 miles in a coffee and ice cream stop.

Can't keep up with the fatbike on sand.....

Then a small detour to Newcastle quayside for a bratwurst and a pint!

Had a great weekend at the big fat forth meet in east Lothian.....nice to be back out with old friends and new....moonlander has been sat unused too long.

43 riders for Saturday and 33 for Sundays ride....including surly bikes Eric and Tyler along for the weekend of riding and drinking.

Been using the big moony quite a bit the past week after sticking 1,000 miles on my jones in 8 weeks I thought it could do with a rest.....and the moonlander had just had a brake service, fresh front wheel bearings and a new headset to freshen it up.

Here's a few pics from yesterday's 31 miler up the coast then back home through the woods and single track.....bliss.....if a little flooded in places.
