Hi Salty,

Love your updates - what app do you use? Is it Cyclemeter? Great healthy snack - Hot Dog! ;)

It's cyclemeter, yep.

Started using it more last year, and this year I have used it for every mile, no matter how short or far.

True mileage for each ride and each bike, logged and noted

Oh, the sausage was nice, and apparently I burned 2,289 calories on that ride, so was ok!

It's my favourite bike, I know that!

Yorkshire dales on it Saturday, another first, can't wait.

fantastic 20 mile ride with the retrobike guys once again, this time in the yorkshire dales on saturday.

huge amounts of rain for days on end could of caused havoc, but it was fine, just very wet under foot.....only a few accidents, the moonlander coped well, despite a few hairy moments on wet grassy decents!

few snaps from the day, as usual.....and a little zoomable map

lots of new stuff from surly coming this winter, bikes and wheels etc....but what i have been hoping for is a new tire for the moonlander.

the huge 4.7'' big fat larry is awesome on soft sand and rocks, but i craved the grip on my pugsley when the 4.0'' surly nates came out....i briefly had a set on the moonlander....

just a quicky, nothing special to report as of late, but i have managed to hit the 1,000 mile mark on the fatbike, just short of the 6 month mark too.

bit surprised i have done so many miles on a bike that would usually be used for sand/snow.

its been an awesome 6 months, more fun than i can write down and new routes that have seen me all over the place.

the bike has been awesome, no faults bar the BB replaced at 100 miles due to lack of grease, a common early issue on these. even the tires are still going strong, no other knobbly tire i have used has seen this kind of milage and lasted, apparently they are good for 1500 hard miles, or 3000 on soft ground and i can now believe that.

looking forward to more exploring and also my regular little rides around the city, and the big 60 mile charity ride i have planned for it next month!

enjoyed a fantastic day on the fatbikes today up in east lothian, scotland, fatbike central!

guided around a few local tracks, some secret and coastline thats the stuff of dreams....brilliantly topped off by the local airshow, we started off sunshine and warm, a few showers never damped our spirits though, and clocked up 21 miles on the mixed terrain.

big thanks to Bruce and Jason.
