Super Record pedal - loose rivets

MiddleAge

Retro Newbie
The "rivets" on one of my 80s Super Record pedals have worn loose to the point where the plate wiggles freely and presumably the rivets at the other end of the plate must be under significantly greater loads. What are my options for repair or at least making them last a bit longer?
1) Drill them off completely, tap a thread in and reattach with countersunk screw like later Corsa Record. I'm guessing there's not enough metal there for a satisfactory solution.
2) Try and bash it back to an interference fit. I suspect it will break before it gets close to becoming tight again.
3) Fill the gap with . . . something. But what? Are any of these "liquid metal" epoxy glues strong enough?
Anyone done something similar before? Preferably successfully . . . .

I would suggest an epoxy would be worth a try. If it doesn't work you are no worse off apart from the cost of the epoxy. Try something fairly liquid that will run into the gaps.
