Just completed an all urban first ride. The ride is exceptionally plush. It has roughly the same wheelbase as most of our retro rides so it is quite nimble. The long travel and wide bars make it feel monstrously big. Compared to the longer wheelbase Orbea and Spinergy wheels it replaced, it lacks stability and small bump isolation. The more complicated FS, fat tires and disc is cushy, but brings the nuance of odd noises. It doesn’t feel as “tight” and connected to the road as the old Marin hardtail I’m accustomed to, but sore saddle butt is a 100% non-issue. I have yet to ride the trails but I have every bit of confidence that it will shit-n-git.
