Suntour Cyclone three pulley rear derailleur??

I came across this when I was looking for something else at Velobase.

Whats the idea about this design? is it any good?
It looks cool, but I have not seen any in real life, I bet it was not a huge success.

For the MTB world, not particularly better than anything else but then...

It was meant to prevent chain suck and ground clearance problems from normal long cage derailleurs.

I suppose it would be possible to build one if you felt like making your own cage plates and were weird enough to want to try one out
