This style of frame was commonly used by other "intermediate" uk brands - like raleigh, cb etc

I think that as they stopped the actual framebuilding and bought in frames, they didn't really see the need for custom details/geometry with associated additional cost, and just bought "off the shelf" from large manufacturers like Aluforce for midrange models.

Frame number AC904B0849 - Stickered as a Merlin, but it looks like the same frame.
