Yes a long time ago I found them pretty poor. Could never get consistent upshift and downshift and often the fit wasn't great between where the cable wraps around the barrel to the upstand for the cable housing stop is...either rubbing or heights not being equal so that the cable wasnt aimed well at the groove!
But they might have improved since !

Good I bought a couple of sets when they first appeared must if been ten years ago maybe? I reckon they've been improved since

I assume the Sturmey Archer thumbies are rebadged Sun Race for the European market?

Luverly set up.Whats the story with barrel adjusters?Looks like the Sun Race/Sturmey Archer ones dont come with any?
