Yes, good point. Low band mechs in particular are unable to go quite as close to the frame for the inner ring as high-band types.

Probably am over thinking it lol I'm just going to buy a 113mm and a 110mm and go from there, cheers for all the info it's been a big help.
May aswell ask this one aswell then because i've got a XTR M900 chainset aswell, am i right in thinking they're the same as the mighty 900 running a 68mm bottom bracket shell.

Not quite.
M900 is 107mm,
113 is the alternative wider chainline and is only used if you have too, which may be if you have the fattest band front mech and a fat Alu frame.
(or running it on modern bikes becasue the larger chainrings foul the frame).
