What about a "most expensive bike" BOTM in contrast to the Penny Pitchers? :?:

Was flamed a few months back for suggesting a Ti BOTM, but still keen on that one.

I like the work in progress BOTM or maybe the Single Speed BOTM....

Variations on a theme

- steel only bikes
- 1" headset bikes only
- full suspension before '97 (my 'definition' of retro is anything 10 years + ago - hence it rolls forward each year to embrace progresion!)
- bikes raced this year - competition pics preferred
- 'Guilty pleasures' - builds you know are so wrong they're right...

I like the material only idea - i.e lets have a titanium month or a steel only etc.

Like it. Keeps it open but at the same time gives it a theme...

I used to be a big advocate of the rolling 10 year....but at some point, 5" travel suspension bikes with disc brakes will be 'retro' along with cantilever full rigids...which is kinda odd.


Now-a-days, anything after 93-94 just doesn't do it for me.

It's been a difficult thing to define.
