Thx. I just bought it. I already have an M-Trax Team Edition from 1995. Decided to add this one to it. Was wondering about the history of it so thx for the clue. Time for a bit more detective work. Day 2 of ownership and did 50 miles on road/forest. Just lovely. Everything worked perfectly.

Nice one! Bikemeister2000 had some interesting info about this frame
You could email him via the site - he was product manager for RSP/Raleigh SPD and pretty much had a hand in all of these race bikes
I think Barrie Clarke bike had some extra XLite Magura etc components whereas this looks like catalogue spec

Didn't Barrie have like a 16" frame or similar?

Barrie’s was small - and some of his bikes are now in a museum - brook lands I think and another one in wales
