For sale:

I had thought about keeping this but it's just far too nice for the type of use it will be subjected to.

It's in superb condition and completely original except the tyres and inner tubes. I know it's subjective but condition wise I'd say 9.0 to 9.25.

The bearings have gone in the drive side pedal, apart from that, it's good to go.

The twist grip shifters were replaced last year with NOS ones that came from the USA (not from eBay !).

It's this one:

The only difference is that mine doesn't have any bottle cages.

Collection only from the GL2 area of Gloucester.

£295 cash on collection or bank transfer.

Unfortunately, I need the space so I can't hold it.

Drop me a PM.

The spec is:

17.5" Frame.

Seat post and stem both move freely with no issues.

Mavic 230 SPB rims with very little wear.

White Industries front hub, Shimano Parallax LX rear hub. (This is how Marin specced it from the factory).

XT 737 front and rear mechs.

Dia Comp cantilever brake levers and brakes.

8 Speed twist shifters.

I have just put brand new Ritchey World Championship Series ZMax Evolution Dual Compound 26 x 2.1 tyres on it and brand new Schwalbe inner tubes.

I still have the original pedals and they will come with it.

That is superb - I've got exactly the same pine mountain, except all that's original on mine is the frame, seatpost and crankset!
Although I've just picked up a bone stock '95 palisades trail to match.

Thanks for that.

I hope it finds a good home.

I know the close up photos aren't the best, all being well, I'll try them again with the wifes' Ipad tomorrow.
The mechs are pristine but the photos don't really show that atm !

Shame, I thought it might have been of more interest but, tbh, I've been underwhelmed by the response to it. Maybe Marins aren't flavour of the month atm.

Shocked that this didn't sell as a complete package. Stunning. Good price too

Thanks Imlach.

I know it's not been on very long but you normally get the vibes if it's going to sell pretty quickly, alas, that hasn't happened.

Like you, I thought it would be snapped up.

I'd let it go for £250 but I suspect it's the collection only bit that's the issue.

TBH, I'm just not into posting, it's just too much hassle, particularly as the reduced options for decent quality couriers.

If I were nearby I'd certainly have had it because God knows I need another bike! (I really really don't) Yeah, shipping a full bike is just hassle, makes you want to put the price up 😜

I also feel this one is so pristine and prepared it's just waiting for someone to come, adjust saddle height and on they go. Part of the deal really.
